Ayrton Nhaguaga is the co-founder of BYTEC and a Principal Software Development Engineer focused on designing, architecting and building scalable digital products. His work is primarily centred around backend engineering, with technical responsibility spanning system architecture, data modelling, security, integrations, deployment and production operations.
Throughout his career, he has worked on solutions across mobility, digital payments, event management, business services, appointment management platforms and location-based services. His experience includes developing authentication and authorisation systems, payment processing solutions, third-party integrations, information management systems, notification services and applications designed for real-world production environments.
His expertise covers the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design to implementation, security, performance optimisation and system maintenance. Beyond development, he is actively involved in software architecture, code reviews, production troubleshooting and designing systems that can scale sustainably.
His work includes mobility platforms such as MOOVX and Zuri, Paga, an event management application, the AgendAki appointment management platform, business management solutions and other digital transformation initiatives. His approach to software engineering goes beyond implementing features, focusing on understanding real problems, designing technically sound solutions and delivering secure, reliable and intuitive products.
As a Principal Software Development Engineer, he also plays a technical leadership role, contributing to decisions around system architecture, engineering standards, security, software quality, infrastructure and product evolution. He maintains a hands-on approach to engineering and remains involved throughout the entire software lifecycle, from the initial concept to deployment and production operations.
He believes Mozambique has the potential to build technology that can compete at an international level. His goal is to contribute to products that solve real problems, simplify access to services and accelerate the digital transformation of Mozambican businesses and institutions.
